To quote my station manager down at the radio station, "This has been the most inefficent week ever!"
Sadly a lot of people do not realize when they are being plauged by the horribleness that is inefficiency, but there are signs that one can recognize in its early stages. The only remedy is to lock yourself in your room and hide in bed for many days.
WARNING SIGNS OF INEFFICIENCY (based on my week of inefficient events)
Your check decides it will take 4 days to clear.
If this every happens to you, I suggest you start collecting donations from your rich friends. The bank will not help you get your money faster. You are basically fucked until the banking system decides to finally accept your bum college check.
You throw hissy fits in convience stores.
After your bank check does not clear, you need to accept it. Do not try to fool your ATM card...It cannot be done. (And the rich folks in places like Radnor do not appreciate you yelling out a string of curses when you cannot afford a pack of smokes due to the inefficiency of banks.
You almost die due to an inefficient car.
Well if you haven't recognized the warning signs by now, shame on you. Unless you have a stroke of luck you will die when your car dies inches away from King of Prussia Road and you cannot stop or brake due to loss of power steering and power brakes.
The apple store magically runs out of the iPod cover you want.
A person truly adores their iPod. Mine is most commonly referred to as my boyfriend. (I think I may like it more than my real sir at certain moments.) If the apple store runs out of what you want, do not cause a scene. If you do, then even the computer nerds won't get with you.

Crown of Love
So I know you all have heard everyone praise The Arcade Fire at least 354,234,374 times in the past few months, but I feel that I must do it again.
I remember when I wrote the email to Merge requesting The Arcade Fire's CD for the station. At that point in time, I didn't know the changes that it would invoke in my future. I got the CD and sent it out to review after briefly listening to it. Yes I knew it would be amazing, for everyone and their mom was raving about it.
Unfortunately it wasn't until today that I turned it on and the goodness finally clicked again while I walking back to my house from class. As their lovely melodies beautifully played from my iPod, everything shitty suddenly seemed all right in the world.
No longer did the mushy snow piss me off for fear of me wiping out. I was suddenly not angry for having 2 iPods today, but about 4 months ago having none. And the apparent fact that some delinquents pissed all over the virgin-like snow did not upset me.
It was like I was gliding across a wonderful cloud of The Arcade Fire.
In fact....
Dear Arcade Fire,
Thanks for making today not so shitty.
Love,
Me

the words in ink don't lie
Last night was deemed yet another "business trip." AKA another show that I just like to label as a business trip so I don't feel like a worthless blob that could be doing better things with her time.
Yet it was more of a "pleasure trip" than anything to do with music business for the station for I got to see my Charles Cure. He is simply one of my favorite people in the entire world.
Even more random was running into Trisha. She does live like 10 minutes from me, but that is when I'm home visiting the parentals. Totally random to find her at some little show in the state of Delaware.
Trisha and I in between sets...
Speaking of parents, mine are actually driving up to visit me right this very second. I best get my act in gear because they are not going to appreciate the fact that I still have not written the letter for a scholarship that they are coming all the way up here to fetch. *sigh*
